There are just 27 days left before our conference kicks off - Registrations are steady and we're topping 200 delegates by now - but we have ample space for plenty more - so share our info and get your swimming friends to join us in Cork on 11th - 13th October.

Only 24 days to the Conference - get your mates to sign-up.
We received confirmation today that Michelle Macy won't be able to travel to Cork, which is totally understandable considering her other commitments around the same time.
She writes: 'Oh how I wish that this was my actual job as then I could do all of these wonderful things.'
and we can all sympathise with that sentiment, can't we?
Darren Miller had already decided that a return trip to Ireland so shortly after his NC swim would be impossible to achieve.
They'll be with us in spirit I have no doubt.

Dear all,
 
we've been able to finalise the accounts over the weekend and the financial statement is attached. Thanks to all of you who came to Cork for the conference, the tireless efforts of the Conference Organising Committee, our local volunteers both from Cork Lions Club and Sandycove Island SC and our sponsors and exhibitors we raised € 3,869.72 which has been presented to Cork Lions Club today.
 
We have been asked whether we would host the conference again and happily declined the offer for the simple reason that we consider voluntary effort to be a finite commodity and we have no intention to exhaust it.
 
Despite of what Stephen Redmond might have said on Seascapes he was glad that didn't have to face another long-hail flight to recieve his well-deserved award and it is highly unlikely that an Irish swimmer will be amongst the honourees again by the time voting closes on 31st December.
 
The Conference Organising Committee wish all this year's nominees the best of luck with their voting but for all of you back home you can relax - I won't take on another campaign for a long time to come - unless of course Stephen Redmond would like to run for President of Ireland next time that comes around....
 
For all you northern hemisphere swimmers may you hibernate well and perhaps follow Ram Barkai's & Mariia Yrko-Koskinen's invitations to try your hand at Winter & Ice Swimming while the southerners may have a great season of fun & games.
